Browsers, Blogs, and Cyberterrorism

The United States government has apparently recommended that Americans use Internet browsers other than Microsoft's Internet Explorer. The MIT blog article not only reports the Homeland Security department's position, but it includes several comments on its blog about modern terrorism over the Internet.

So the question arises, has our society become so dependent on the Internet for information, that any attack against the Internet structure can seriously compromise our national safety? Blog on!
